About Retreat DFW
Welcome to Retreat DFW, Dallas/Fort Worth’s premier destination for hosting private events and creating lasting memories with family, friends, and more. Our retreats are designed with people of all ages in mind, and feature a variety of amenities and activities to keep everyone entertained, including pools, outdoor yard games, and giant slip and slides.
But how did we get here? Our story starts with Todd Lockwood, a real estate enthusiast who decided to try his hand at flipping houses after his wife, Tori, became pregnant with twins. Despite some early setbacks, Todd’s passion for real estate grew, and he eventually stumbled upon the Dallas Oasis, a property that he knew he had to have.
After closing on the Dallas Oasis, Todd and Tori turned it into a short-term rental and began hosting families and friends. The success of the Dallas Oasis led Todd and Tori to pursue more opportunities to create special retreats for others to enjoy. They subsequently opened The Woods and Retreat Oak Leaf, each with its own unique features, such as a zipline and a cement pond.
More recently, Todd and Tori opened Retreat Anna, a 15-acre retreat that features the biggest slip and slide yet and an acre of fake turf for a private golf course. They have since sold The Dallas Oasis and The Woods, but continue to operate Retreat Oak Leaf and Retreat Anna, and have plans to open new locations in the near future.
When they’re not busy building new retreats, Todd, Tori, and their four kids enjoy traveling and exploring short-term rentals across the country. You may even have the chance to meet them in person when you visit Retreat DFW, as they often handle check-ins personally and are always happy to share their love of hosting and creating special memories with guests.
At Retreat DFW, we believe that life is too short to be spent indoors, and that’s why we strive to provide the perfect retreats for families, friends, and groups to get out and enjoy nature and each other’s company. Whether you’re looking to host a family reunion, a work retreat, a church retreat, or just a fun getaway with friends, we’ve got you covered. So come and make some memories with us at Retreat DFW, and we’ll take care of the rest.
